DeKalb County held an Earth Day Event on April 18, 2009. The District had a booth where participants could spin the wheel to determine the category for a question. Categories included Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, HHW, Composting and Trash Facts.
The District has participated in KidCity activities in both 2007 and 2008. KidCity allowed the District to reach over 1,000 children! Visitors to the booth were encouraged to test out the Incredible Recycling Machine by placing a material into the machine and watching as a new product made from the material was presented.
Billboard can be found throughout the District's four counties.
Billboards are an excellent means of outreach as messages reach a vast audience.
